The age-old saying is that money doesn't grow on trees. Well, I beg to differ and with these money-saving apps from my best friend and comedian Tree Like The One Outside, you'll soon feel the same way. The opinions about these gems about to be presented are his words, I am simply the editor-publisher, oh and a proud friend. Tree claims that some ways he saves are by putting small amounts of his hard-earned money into accounts with a good APY. If you're wondering what that stands for it's (Annual Percentage Yield). It's the rate of interest earned on a savings or investment account in one year. It also includes compound interest. Save a little and gain a lot, financial freedom could be on the horizon. Now, let's get to the root of all this. Here is his list for you to enjoy.
5. Robinhood
Robinhood is a great app for investing in stocks, crypto, ETFs, IRA accounts, etc. Robinhood allows you to earn interest on uninvested brokerage cash with a feature named "Cash Sweep" which gives you the ability to save 5% APY, which is 8x more than the national average savings rate. It's available on Android and Apple.
4. Moneylion
Moneylion is an online banking platform available on Apple and Android. Moneylion is the goat when it comes to helping you save and get a little further in life! Some of Moneylion's features are Instacash, Credit Builder Plus, an investment account, roundups, and even Crypto. Moneylion is a powerful tool to help save money and build credit.
3. Wealthfront
Wealthfront is an online bank and app that is available on Apple and Android. This app is crazy with its checking account, it has 4.85% APY, and if invite a friend that APY rate can almost double to 6%, which is crazy! If this is not one of the best solutions for savings, I don't know what else there could be. You can also link all your accounts to this one account to make everything convenient.
2. Affirm
That's right Affirm people! It's a great app for saving money and breaking down payments into three, six, and twelve-month periods. It adds a little interest but doesn't hurt in the grand scheme of things. Affirm also has a savings account with a 4.35% APY which equates to good saving. Available on Android and Apple.
1. Acorns
Acorns is by far in my opinion, the best app for saving money. With Acorns you can link your bank and whatever you spend, it takes the charge and puts it in an investment account. That account can do everything for you as far as having your own investments. Acorns also has online banking which makes the round-ups even sweeter. Do you want to save for the kids? Acorns has you covered with Acorns Early, which is more flexible than a college savings account. It's available on Android and Apple.
